Establish a consistent gathering for completing the Quran in central London, benefiting those present and those departed.
The early generations would gather at the completion of the reading of the Quran, saying, ‘Mercy is descending’. (Imam Nawawi, al-Adhkar)
Many people work, live and study in London. We aim to bring people together, build relationships through reading the Quran, and socialise over tea and light refreshments thereafter.
After the communal reading, Lapsang Souchong tea and light refreshments will be served. Lapsang Souchong is a distinctive black tea created during the Qing era. The leaves are roasted in a bamboo basket called a honglong, heated over burning firewood, which contributes to the dried longan aroma and smoky flavour.
